@hollish1965 months agoI think the green garlic is the scapes. The scapes from the garlic plants appear early in the season, and can be used in a similar way to green onions. Milder than the bulbs. 9

@mikaellarsson79325 months agoKonnichiwa, Sayaka, very nice as usual. I think green garlic is either young garlic plants of which you can also eat the whole plant, or ramsons leaves, allium ursinum, it is delicious in the spring. I love to make a soup with cream with this or eat as is. Pick it in the forest, in Asia too, but be careful not to conform it with lily of the valley which is deadly poisonous, rub a leaf with your fingers, if it smells garlic it is the good stuff. Miso and honey sauce is delicious and healthy. And I can not leave out shiitake or some other mushrooms for my miso soup. Arigato and see you next time :-) ...1
