There are about 5000 refugees from Afghanistan living in Australia on temporary protection visas. Despite being recognised as refugees, under the current Government policy, they will likely never receive a permanent visa and reunite with their families and loved ones. In this Episode of SAFAR, Sarah Dale - Centre Director and Principal Solicitor at Refugee advice and Casework Service (RACS) explains why these group of refugees from Afghanistan can't reunite with their families. People on these visas do not have the right to visit their families or bring their families to Australia. In association with Refugee Advice and Casework Service (RACS) & DANA, Huma Media would like to shed more light and clarity into TPV and SHEV visas and what needs to be done to help these group of People.
