No eggs, no milk???? What!!!!!! This is a classic from my 4-H days in the early '60's. It's even vegan!!!! Easy to make, easy to frost, easy to eat In fact, let little hands make this one! INGREDIENTS: 1 1/2 cup flour 1 cup sugar 1/4 cup baking cocoa 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 teaspoon vinegar 1/3 cup oil 1 cup cold water 1. Mix together dry ingredients 2. Add liquids to dry ingredients and stir 3. Pour in greased 8x8 pan 4. Bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees FROSTING: 2 cups powdered sugar 2 tablespoons softened butter 1 teaspoon vanilla 1/3 cup milk 1. Work butter into powdered sugar 2. Add liquids carefully. Add vanilla and then add milk gradually until it is the consistency you want. If you add too much liquid, add more powdered sugar.
