Why I Quit the Curly Girl Method

👩🏻‍🦱 While the "curly girl" method can be great for helping people embrace their curls, it has its own set of problems. I used the "curly girl" method for many years, and during that time my hair never grew past a certain length and the ends were stringy and uneven. One of the main issues I have with the "curly girl" method, is the recommended practice of wet-detangling your hair. I have since learned that while wet-detangling can create crisp curls, it also greatly increases the rate of hair breakage which is what led to my own hair seeming to never grow.
