@sportstronics3 years ago I've lost thousands as a seller due to dishonest buyers and non paying bidders. Currently have an open case buyer claims the package I sent was empty. He just kept the card and wants a refund. My feedback is 400 positive. His is 18. I shouldn't be loosing money again. ... 27

@RandomJ20233 years ago That note "non-payment" is not public for sellers to see. It is an in-house note. you are still required to cancel the transaction as the seller after 4+ days of non-payment. You CAN annotate feedback to the non-payment but you have no choice but to post it as positive feedback. That is a broken system especially for us that need "100+ positives" to make Top Rated Seller. And we all know not every buyer actually leaves feedback of any kind. ...

@heathsmith30383 years ago I’m a top rated seller and my items are no returns and yet eBay forced me take a return on collin sexton cards when he turned his ankle and value dropped . Even allowed him to give me negative and won’t remove it . Yet I’m allowed give him NOTHING. Been on eBay since day 1 had 💯 feedback and they allowed a scammer ruin that. Had the card went up in value was that buyer gonna send me more money NO. It’s bs. ... 38

@joemac843 years ago I had a bidder win 6, yes 6, Luka Doncic PSA 10 prizm rookies. Not pay, and wait until the Mavs were eliminated to cancel with EBay. Then I found Ebay removed the point on his record as well, so there was no consequence. I will never sell cards on EBay again. ... 1

@jbzyang023 years ago My biggest issue with eBay and need ebay to explain is how to combat against buyers that are replacing their bad card with a very good card they just bought and demanding and getting their refund leaving the seller with a broken and bad card. Then all eBay do is nothing. Even if you have video proof of sending and packing a good card and still getting a issue but eBay won't even help the seller ...

@parkerrome25633 years ago The eBay standard envelopes are great, but I have an issue with them. Sometimes USPS either loses a card or it gets stuck in the same spot with tracking. As a seller, I have to wait 30 days before I can file a lost package claim. However, buyers can open a case against me while it’s stuck/lost with usps before 30 days. It puts the seller in a tough situation because the card could still arrive late, so giving a refund is risky because the buyer could then get the card for free. ... 13

@TheJasonselness3 years ago Ebay needs to fix the return issues on cards that don't get shipped in the estimated delivery date window. So many times I've heard and had a buyer say they didn't get the card and ask for a return and the seller is out the money and the card. ...

@card_and_comic_investments3 years ago Bid retraction is a scam! & MORE WORK for sellers. What "buyers" do is shill up a bid to scare other buyers with SECOND a (0) account / fake 2nd account, THEN retract their highest bid and get it lower price. They also will NOW be even less careful and just email me constantly to retract bids ,..very annoying ...

@lolitahansen16822 years ago I was selling multiple PSA 10s of a specific player who has recently peaked. I had one on buy it now for $400 and two ending the bid right after his game. The customer won the bid for $466 and paid immediately. A few minutes later he realized I had a buy it now offer for another one of the same cards for $400 and purchased that. I offered free shipping for the second item out of courtesy. I did a great job of packaging both cards separately. Of course the day both cards arrive, the $466 card is damaged and the customer states it is not the same item. I am pretty sure this customer decided to order a cheaper option then damage the more expensive option in order to return it. Customer was allowed to return the $466 card and get a refund via Ebay. Now I have to hope that only the PSA holder is damaged so I can pay $25.00 for PSA to but the card in another holder. If the card is also ruined I am now out the money and the card. ...

@iparxo3 years ago How about now buyer can make an offer and you a seller see in the offer that it says buyer is in USA thus you accept the offer then send an invoice for payment, thinking all is good then buyer is allowed to change address and then you see address as being now sent to China and to top it off Ebay charges you an extra 2% fee since the item is now needs to be to shipped to China instead with in USA. So an other screw up by people at Ebay ...

@MrAfrobllrchrs3 years ago As always, thanks for the great content! Have you and the team thought about creating an "index" for the different sports that would track the price of 30-500 cards? Using those numbers because of the Dow Jones & S&P, but thought that could be a great way of looking at each sport's trends without getting down to the individual card level. ...

@Kitmon243 years ago The problem isn’t buyer receiving the wrong item. It’s primarily when buyer get remorse from over bidding from a bidding war. They immediately ask for a return after receiving. They make up any excuse. Even when it’s the same exact item pictured.
eBay needs a service where sellers who doesn’t except returns can send the item into eBay, have eBay verify the item to ensure it matches the description. Once that happens, buyer shouldn’t be able to exercise any type of returns. All sales final type sales.

@Downrivermagic3 years ago I had some one buy a sealed booster back. I have sent many sealed booster packs with no issues. Though this seller opened a return claim stating the pack came opened with only two cards in it. eBay made me refund the buyer. Even though buyer had very little transaction and I’ve had many with no bad reviews. Dishonest buyers suck. And eBay always sides with buyer it seems. This makes me hesitate to keep selling on eBay.😓😢 ...

@stringsandthings43253 years ago So let’s say you don’t accept returns and promised a bgs 9 and you deliver a bgs 9 in perfect condition why do they still have the right to return it if you states your terms at the very beginning? Why does the seller have to lose money on shipping back and forth just because somebody changed their mind, and why force somebody to make a return when you state that you don’t do that? ... 12

@stevenash12153 years ago This along with the other segment with Bob have really helped me as a Seller to hear and understand the reasoning behind the changes. I have been a Seller since 1999 and have had an overall pleasant, profitable experience. I've gone through growing pains of bad experiences that influenced better policies for myself. Ebay Customer Service Reps have been friendly and responsive to the majority of my concerns and issues. Access to Supervisors is tough though. I have had multiple calls over an escalated issue and assured a Supervisor will call me within 24 hours, and they have not. I've been told that a problem is being forwarded to a back office department, and then never hear anything on it again. At present, I have no pending issues other than my purchase history almost never loads. I learned that I can scroll to the bottom of my Summary page and see them though. Thank you- and Bob! ... 2

@lawrencebryantii58963 years ago For everyone talking about buyer scamming them with "Not delivered" record yourself packing it up and labeling it for proof. • @
@cbusbreaks42173 years ago Unfortunately I don’t think there is a perfect solution but one thing that has bothered me for years and I can’t believe hasn’t changed is a buyer could have 100’s of comments as a person who doesn’t pay for auctions won or offers accepted and still have a 100% rating. ... 1

@jeffmueller87963 years ago In general, graded cards, autos, jerseys, pictures, etc. graded by the major companies such as PSA and BCCG should not be returnable as long as clear pictures are supplied. 3

@blairschroyer67872 years ago How about doing this with auctions if someone bids with 1 second left 30 seconds go back on the timer so the seller gets all he can for his cards like a real auction u get a chance to up the bid going once going twice sold lmao ...
  • @
@ACD19943 years ago It seems to me, that eBay takes a lot of fees from sellers. Lowering some of the charges down, say 2 or 3 percent less; could make sellers feel like they're getting more of a fair shake. 4

@ricardograu78933 years ago Once I sold a card for $75. I noticed a week later that the tracking never said delivered. The tracking was still saying that "USPS AWAITS ITEMS" Exactly 28 days later after I sold the card the buyer said he noticed that he didn't get his card. Now you know that when you buy a card you are always checking for tracking for the card to get to you. So I asked him if he was trying to scam me and of course he said no. I gave him a bull shit story that I was selling my card for a gift for Christmas that I would refund him after the Holidays and I guess he felt bad and said not to worry about it. NOW YOU KNOW HE GOT HIS CARD!! ...

@Supraman1453 years ago is there anything that can be done for a buyer claiming damage that clearly is not there in listing photos. he actually put "factory defect" not "listing doesnt match item" im so sick of these ppl impulse buying then returning once the card value drops. in a matter of days. example i sold a marvel metal universe card for 1k on launch day. by the time the card arrived the price is around 2-300. he opens a return claim with pictures of damage. so not only is he lying but now he damaged the card! what am i suppose to do ? any help please ...
  • @
@moosenull33093 years ago Sellers ask for refunds on mint cards and replace them with damaged cards. This has happened to me 3 times. Thus, if the card you sell is not serial numbered, you could easily be screwed by an untruthful buyer. 6
  • @
@adriana27073 years ago Auto relisting? It take unnecessary time to always list cards that haven't sold over the time frame. Is auto relisting becoming available on auctions?
  • @
@johnnyshipula69343 years ago About dam time! But the sellers will still get screwed by eBay! eBay shouldn’t allow people to keep making accounts if they get the previous account closed! Should require a photo id or DL. Shouldn’t be as easy as creating a new email! And eBay should stop charging so effing much to sell! I pay more now then when they had PayPal! They should also have other paying platforms! We use to get funds released instead of having to wait 1-3 Business days when you have release funds daily! ...

@jacaris3 years ago Glad ebay is making these changes. They need to consider doing this for more than just trading cards. I see people abusing the return policy all the time which makes it hard for anyone to want to sell on ebay.
  • @
@christopherferrara38603 years ago Agree with all comments on here. Ebay just cares about their 12%. I am tired of having to repost items, take less money and see ebay still get their 12%. Any item being bid on above a certain threshold $$ amount should be required to place $$ into an escrow account. That money can be a percentage of their bid and if they flake on the purchase the money should then go to the seller. That $$ should be equal to at least ebay exorbitant fees. Bob- u need to do better. ...
  • @
@wesleyhodge94573 years ago My concern with this change is people selling a card as an original and if they offer no returns they get off scot free as it takes longer than 3 days for an item to arrive via USPS. At least with the 30 days eBay return policy it allows a buyer time to get the item authenticated/graded and find out.
I just went through this with a 4 figure purchase to find out the card had been altered and luckily with the 30 day eBay buyer protection in place I was covered. With this change I can’t see myself risking serious money on cards once this goes in, there are too many people who sell altered cards or fake cards.

@acesontilt773 years ago Now if FeeBay would fix auctions that would be fantastic. I have been fucked over 37 times this year alone with NPB! I really do believe sellers of the same card you have do this to make sure their cards sell is one reason. The other reason when product first comes out its hot and people overpay quite often then have buyers remorse if say the auction ran a week and then the same card hits eBay they could have bought it for less so they dont pay and just buy the cheaper one. eBay REALLY needs to implement secured funds up to the amount that person bids on auctions! This way the bidder has NO choice because it will auto draft and auto pay the money the second the auction is over. eBay allows WAY too many people to pay up to 7 days later on auctions WTF people! eBay I hope you read this and act because the community is fed up with the huge fees the NPB and scammers that flood your website. MAN THE FUCK UP AND DO SOMETHING! ...

@mgod128783 years ago Look into holding sellers accountable when they cancel a sale because they didn’t the value they wanted for the item. I’ve lost two good deals this way. Kinda rips your heart out:/ 2
  • @
@Kitmon243 years ago The worst type of buyer behavior, the raw card switch. Buyer owns a messed up copy of a card. Buys one on eBay. Contacts seller that the card isn’t as described and demands a return. During the return, they keep sellers card and return a poor condition version that they own, switching. This applies not only to cards but when seller sells a new item and buyer switched them out with their broken units or damaged items. What do eBay do about this type of situations? ... 1

@rickeyblankenship81823 years ago It’s funny how eBay screws their sellers so badly. It’s like they don’t even realize that this same seller could also be a buyer on eBay. Take in consideration the PERSON AND THEIR FEEDBACK before just siding with a buyer every single time. Customer support is like talking to a wall and so scripted. ... 5
  • @
@colburn69693 years ago I have been selling on eBay for over 10 years & honestly the buyers keep getting better policies & the sellers are getting screwed more & more. I just had a customer ask for a return on a $30 card because it had a very small factory line on the back & I offered to send the exact same card & they refused so I did not refund the buyer because I shouldn't have to if that's my choice but eBay still refunded the buyer & also let him keep my card as well without sending it back so the buyer got his money back & got to keep the card which doesn't seem right to me.......If there was another company as big as eBay I would be gone instantly!! ... 21

@rickeyblankenship81823 years ago I sold 2 cards last year on eBay, one graded, and one was the project Ermsy Trout card. Both legit cards and absolutely nothing wrong with them for 2K each. Long story short once both of these cards were returned I never sold cards on eBay ever again and sold 650 cards on StockX. Done with eBay as a seller. Always look for better formats to sell on because eBay is the worst platform for sellers. Also looking into Myslabs as a viable option. ...

@aaronhernandez_10103 years ago This just opens up raw card sales for a picky, whining buyer to send back cards that they deem ungradable. I sell lots of raw cards and get a ton of messages asking if this card is a PSA 9 or 10. I am protected from returns because of the no return option. Not any more. Terrible change, sellers will start to move away to Starstock, Myslabs or other platforms because of these changes. ... 2

  • @
@Kitmon243 years ago Also, if the listing show that buyer pays shipping, eBay should provide the seller the shipping label. Once buyer pays for the auctions, the taxes and shipping cost is collected by eBay. Money is usually tied up for a couple day forcing sellers to pay out of their own pockets to ship the item. Since shipping is collected when buyer pays, eBay should use the collected money to pay for the shipping label, and send it to the seller. ...

@snapbacksllc54063 years ago Please read. I am glad ebay is now understanding that cards are not like electronics where you might buy an item such as a tv and the screen might go black a week later after you buy it. Which warrants a return. A 1979 psa 9 rickey henderson is the same now as it was when it was graded. It doesnt spoil. So someone wanting to return it 30 days later is doing not because its defective but only because the price went down. Which is not fair to the seller. This is the only reason. Think about. No buyer would return that same card if the price went up say 400% since that bought it. They would just keep it. Its about time ebay supports the sellers!!! ... 3

@chrisd9973 years ago Ebay is really lucky that companies that Comc and others like are still small. Their shipping costs model supplemented with customs is really killing the market and discourages someone of spending money in the market. HUGE Problem for European and Asian collectors. @nfl2254fan693 years ago Like those changes. As a buyer, there are a couple things that aggravate me to no ends. Buyers being slow to respond to offers and messages if responding at all. Anything Ebay could do to speed up sellers on these 2 issues would be great. ...

@Pilts823 years ago Except one big problem... 3 days isn't nearly enough time for buyers to get packages who send it off to 3rd party vault companies like PWCC or ShipMyCards. They should've made it 8-10 days at minimum so a buyer (in this situation) gets adequate time to recieve it in hand
And I'm a seller so I know the benefits and applaud them on stricter policies. But if a buyer has something sent to a vault.. It's going to take days to get it into thier account let alone get thier card mailed to them at home

@vintagesportscardfinds9643 years ago Ask them why they are ripping off the sellers by charging 12.35 percent fee on the sales tax? Money, that as a seller, I never see. It's criminal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ASK HIM ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You advertise for eBay as a sponsor, it is imperative that you do a video or at least ask eBay why they are charging that 12.35 percent on the cost of the item+shipping+sales tax. That is different. That changed on April 1. EBay is stealing that money from the sellers, and I never receive that money (the sales tax part of it). It is not right and might be illegal. I've spent 20 hours on the phone with eBay to push this problem, and they say for the most part "it is what it is." It's so disgusting! The countless millions of dollars they are ripping off the sellers is insane since April 1st. He is talking about bad actors in terms of sellers and buyers, what about the bad actors at eBay? He is more than welcome to message me, but I know that will never happen. eBay use to be fun, but now my sales on eBay have dropped and in terms of my spending on eBay per month has dropped about 80 percent. They are cut their noses off to spite their faces. They are the bad actors!!!!!
