The brains emotions completely dominate the brains logic, leaving red who is submissive and loves blue to be pushed around and abused. Maybe? I'm not great at analyzing songs, lol.
Edit: The PV artist uploaded some design info for the two characters which confirmed that they're both students. The red boy's clothing is labelled "shoseifuku," while the blue boy'is labelled "gakuseifuku." Both mean school clothes/school uniform, and while gakusei is the common modern word for student, shosei was used more in the late 1800s and early 1900s, matching the time period of the red boy's clothing.
